Exploring environment modeling, strategy generation and feedback-based validation
Research examines environment modeling, strategy generation, independent validation and real-market feedback. Reproducible experiments compare the effectiveness and applicability of different methods, informing revisions to research priorities, technical approaches and system design. The following are current exploration themes that may be expanded, revised or replaced as research progresses.
EVOLUTION UNDER NON-STATIONARITY
- Multi-agent strategy evolution in non-stationary environments
- Stability of self-play in open systems
- Strategy lifecycle management in highly adversarial environments
ENVIRONMENT MODELING & DECISION METHODS
- Exploring world models and other approaches to modeling financial environments
- From prediction to decision-making: a paradigm shift for AI systems
- Exploring evolutionary dynamics and other methods for strategy generation and iteration
Exploring long-term questions through concrete tasks
S2E focuses on long-term questions in energy and habitats, life and intelligence, and collaboration and civilization. It will break grand challenges into verifiable research tasks, making progress step by step from a concrete question. Possible starting points include control or materials problems in fusion, cross-individual decoding and long-term stability in brain–computer interfaces, and thermal management, radiation and cost models for space-based computing. Current work uses small-scale closed-loop tests in finance to examine collaboration, validation and reward mechanisms, alongside work on infrastructure, connections with partners across disciplines and ecosystem development.
